Need to know

Will Greenwood’s
Top Tips!

1. Have a spare pair of lungs or an oxygen tank in the kit bag - 7s hurts.

2. Rest in run up to tournament - hydrate well in the 48 hours before (not in pub), eat lots of pasta… energy, energy, energy.

3. Make sure someone in your team can run as fast as Usain Bolt - if you all look like Peter Kay it is going to be a long afternoon.

4. Let the ball do the work - pass the ball, pass the ball a lot, let the opposition chase you.

5. One on one tackles are crucial - one missed tackle is a certain try for the opposition.

6. Don’t be afraid to commit to the breakdown. If there is the chance of winning the ball in contact area - go after it like wild dogs.

7. Do not panic - you can score three tries very quickly in 7s. If you are behind - keep the faith.
