Neptune City Sevens

On Sunday 22 May, 18 of the City’s finest firms battled it out at Richmond Athletic Ground to compete for the 2016 Neptune City Sevens crown. In the end it was Squire Patton Boggs who took home this year’s title, after defeating BlackRock in a hard fought final. Download the results here. The day’s events have raised over £18,000 for Child Bereavement UK.

Since 2010, the tournament has raised over £144,000 for CBUK. The money raised has equated with the Charity being able to provide more than 3,500 support sessions to bereaved children, young people and adults. And we couldn’t have done this without your support!!

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to all the companies and teams who supported 2016’s Neptune City Sevens. The sevens is such a special event bringing together so many people from the City who put so much passion into the rugby, whilst raising funds for Child Bereavement UK. We are so grateful to Neptune Investment Management for their ongoing sponsorship of this event meaning every penny of the entry fees go directly to Child Bereavement UK. Every 22 minutes a child is bereaved of a parent in the UK. The £18,000 raised this year will help both children and families rebuild their lives after bereavement – thank you.” — Becky Pounce, Event Fundraiser, Child Bereavement UK
